Broken Yeti

This is stop.motion's story about his Yeti that broke on it's first ride:
Ended up having to send the frame back to Oregon because Yeti wouldn't take responsibility for the weakness claiming that the frame probably developed this weakness in transport (since I bought my frame online from a shop in Oregon). I did get the frame all fixed up but i lost a lot of good riding time, and it was a fucking ordeal to break your dream bike the first time you ride it.

Bummer. I've wondered about the carbon stays and flex pivots on the 575. Carbon and mountain bikes just don't seem like wise marraige.

You could look at another way. Build a new dream.

This is one thing online reatailers forget to mention to people, if the bike isn't handed over directly by the reatailer the manufacturer's warranty is void.

Having worked in both the bicycle and the freight industries I know why.
