Trek Pilot

Steve sent me these photos and story:
The rider of this trek was passing a truck that was turning left, and another car turned left in front of the truck, and hit the rider. It was on a 550 mile charity ride, the New England Classic. The rider broke both arms, and was taken home after being released from the hospital. He's returned to the trip in following years, and has managed to keep his bike shiny side up ever since. The worst part is the brand-new bike wasn't even his, it belonged to Trek and was a part of a free test ride program.
Ouch. I guess breaking somebody else's bike is better than breaking your own, but it still sucks.

I'm always looking for new photos of broken bikes, if you have any, please send them to me.

Thanks.
