Broken LOOK HSC5 Fork

This is my LOOK HSC5 full carbon fork after impact with a tree at about 35km/h. My frame stayed together, thanks to Alloy Lugs (it's a 2003 KX Light). I can nearly guarantee a steel fork would have bent but not failed disastrously. Needless to say, a very expensive replacement is on order. The rest of the bike - absolutely no problem.

2nd Busted Look Seatpost

The brief story is my first Look seatpost broke after 2 years. The Look replacement (warranty) broke in 10 minutes at the exact same location. Look is scratching their head and generally not wanting to replace the replacement. For the record I weigh 165 lbs and ride a Look 585.

10 minutes has to be a record.

Look 486

A mini van made an illegal left turn directly in front of me, I was going 26mph when I hit the windshield with my head.

Look Carbon Stem

Another broken carbon stem. I'll let Chris explain:

Broke out of nowhere with no warning whatsoever. Went from sitting to standing on a small incline, and first pedal stroke... crack and down. This stem had gotten some decent mileage and use, but I will be switching to all aluminum steering from now on ... not including fork. I believe this is a look branded easton ea90. Came out of it relatively minor. Mainly right elbow trauma and minor road rash and a chainring gash.

Yikes. He's lucky he was going slow when it broke.

Busted TT Bike

Ted send me a good write up about the Missouri State Time Trial. He ended up with heat stroke and crashed a few times, unfortuneatly his bike didn't survive.

That's my bike. 

Crash happened descending the Tourmalet when I misjudged a corner. Ended up going into a ditch as the 'safest' option. Front wheel hit the end of the ditch, ripped the wheel and forks off and I did a forward roll over the bars. 

Walked away without an injury, the bike needed a bit of work. 

Wow, glad you are ok.

Carbon Bars on a Track Bike

The bizarre angle of the bars makes this look like the result of a crash. The Look frame appears to be ok, which is good news.
