Even More Mavic R-Sys Failures


When it rains it pours. Here is another failed Mavic R-Sys wheel, this time one of the rear wheels which wasn't recalled. The drive side spokes are aluminum, so the wheel didn't fail completely. Still, it would be nice for $1300+ wheels not to explode when hit by road debris.

Mavic R-SYS Recall



Mavic is recalling all R-SYS front wheels since "...the carbon tubular spokes of the R-SYS front wheel may break during use in certain circumstances and causing the rider to lose control and possibly fall, potentially sustaining injury." More info on the Mavic site
