From Brett:
I broke this up at Trexlertown on the first Tuesday night of this past season. A whole slew of guys went down right in front of me and I couldn't go up or down the track to avoid them and went down as well. I think someone's pedal was responsible for the damage you see here. I got less than 2 minutes of use out of the wheel. :(Here's a helmet cam documenting the crash - I was right behind the guy filming.
2 minutes is the new record. The video reminds me how much I miss riding track, but my local velodrome has been closed for a few years now.

To me, that makes track racing look totally terrifying.
that's 1 tough camera.
Thanks for sharing that video FIGBUG!
I vividly remember the first Tuesday night of the season at Trexlertown. With adrenaline pumping, I had just clipped into my bike when chaos erupted. A crash right in front of me sent me down with barely 2 minutes of track time—my wheel was ruined, likely by someone’s pedal. Watching the helmet cam footage, I feel the rush of nostalgia mixed with the sting of missing track racing. My local velodrome’s been closed for years, so my racing dreams are on hold. It's almost like trying to pass a tough exam—like the take my teas exam for me challenge. You train hard, face setbacks, but the passion for racing or studying keeps you coming back for more.
